Title: Windows XP startup/shutdown screens

is there a way to change the startup/shutdown screens on XP? i know how to do it in 95/98, but want to use xp for my cab...

if not, how about Win2000?

i'm after any info on changing the startup/shutdown screens...i know how to do it in win95/98 (by changing the logo.sys and logos.sys files), but it doesn't work for XP

correct me if i'm wrong about any of the above

Perhaps this would make a good addition to the eye candy section? (Hint Saint)

Post by: petejc on April 10, 2003, 12:44:07 pm: Here's a tougher question: how do you change the second welcome screen? you know, the one that comes up right before your desktop appears? if got my boot screen changed to a MAME version, and their is no logon screen, but then i see the blue welcome screen which bugs me!

any help?

Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on or off

then uncheck the 'Use Welcome Screen' box
