Too bad there's not a way to educate people about this stuff. It takes more than giving them access to a good reason why this won't work. They need to be sat down and forced to listen.

I always feel bad when these things go around because it forces me to send an email to all of the employees of my company pointing out how assinine it is to fall for this stuff. All you have to do is the most rudimentary math before it becomes obvious that Bill Gates and Microsoft would be bankrupt in days if they actually tried to do something like this. Not to mention that Bill Gates is presumably smart and smart people to throw away hundreds of billions of dollars.
Anyway, I try to be nice about it in my emails, but I also try to encourage people to think critically about emails like this instead of swallowing the hook right off, which makes the people who already have swallowed the hook feel stupid. Of course, they only feel stupid because they did something that was really stupid, but . . .

Sooooooo.......Has anyone recived a check yet? I'm still waiting for mine to show up. Hopefully it will get here by Christmas.

Bah! That's just because you're a whiner, and not a winner. A real achiever would recognise what a great opportunity this is for a huge return with little to no risk! That's why most people fail in life you know, because they don't have the drive to succeed, they don't seize opportunity to live the dream instead of as a drone! This email can be sent in your spare time. As a business, it offers the greatest flexibility and personal freedom of time. A few hours a week can earn a significant supplemental income and may grow to a very large income, making other work unnecessary. Living the American dream is easy for self-motivated individuals with the will to grow their own business. ;)
