Title: Neo Geo Roms not displaying properly (off to one side)
Post by: leapinlew on December 07, 2006, 10:15:46 pm
Anyone have experience with this?

I am putting together my machine and when I load most NeoGeo games, the image is 3/4 on the screen with about 1/4 off the screen. Is there a command in Mame I need to do to make it all fit?

Make sense?

Probably that particular screen res is used only for Neo Geo and not (most of) the other ROMs you have.

Are you using a multisync PC monitor? You probably want to adjust that rather than anything else.

On my Sony monitor I was able to centre and size every screen res individually, so boot up a Neo Geo game, adjust the centering and size, and hey presto all neo-geo games would be fine. (and the same for verticals, vectors, old low-res ones, etc.) The cool thing is doing that did not screw up any settings previously made for other screen resolutions.

Awesome and dead on. Great advice. It'll be good from here on out? I won't have to readjust it?

I was looking further into the problem than really needed. I was thinking video card or a NeoGeo specific problem. Thanks for the tip!
