Before i tried moving evrything from main computer to my cab, all my games were sorted by genre.
i had to install from the begining on the cab.
Now i can't remember how to get multiconfig wizard to do it.
Can somebody help?
I know there was a reply in a topic somewhere but i can't find it.
I even had a printed copy i can't find. :hissy:

I guess the post was that one

but what you have printed should be the tutorial that is in the AtomicFE\Doc folder. ;)

The AtomicFE/doc. ::)
I knew it was something i had already! I think i spent about 3 hours searching the internet looking for that :banghead:
And it was right under my nose the whole time.
thanks Youki,agian. :notworthy:
p.s. dear moderators,we need a smiley that is smacking himself in the forehead.

One more question Youki,
Is there an easy way to get the game list to display rom names? Or do i have to clr each in the Meta-data?
-
If you want display rom name only, yes, you have to clear the FullList.txt file in the METADATA. (don't delete the file, just clear it) (and backup it before...)
-
OK, thanks Youki
-
Good tip - I'll add that to the next revision of the AtomicFE documentation...
-
How about adding a check box, that once you check it, displays only rom names.
That would be sweet.
I have just spent the last 5 hours deleteing meta data names and i'm only on the letter C. :banghead:
Now i have to delete the doubles and "no worky's" :o

Oh no! Youki meant just open the file in notepad (<AtomicFE Dir>\Metadata\fulllist.txt) and delete everything - should take about 3 seconds! Make a copy, click Edit, select all, then hit the delete key, save, done!
Sorry, looks like a bit of miscommunication!
Or, just rename your file, and save the attached in the same directory...
This will just list all the rom names in your roms folder. If you want to remove dupes and no workies - I think you would have to set up an exclude list, and put the entries in there. To do this, you would go to the Game List Tab in Atomic Manager, add the games you want to exclude in the game list file, and click the save to Exclude file button.
Good thing you didn't really have anything else to do for those five hours, right?
:'(

Oups.. yes Havok is right... do that with the notepad , go in the edit menu , select "select all" , then press the "del" key of your keyboard...
really sorry to not have been enough clear. :(

Will deleting some games make others not work?
-
Yes - if you delete a parent rom from a game you run. It's best to just modify the metadata list, which will not affect the roms in any way. You can get more information about the ROMS here:

The FullList.txt file has not effect on the game. It just used to display the title in Atomic.
-
Thanks Havok
You answered my question. But! I killed my hard drive. :'(
So it looks like i'll be starting over.
My hard drive crashed.
SO let's start from #1 ;D
I love AtomicFE!
Youki has made the #1 FE as far as I can tell. !!!
Thanks guys
