Little far for me... maybe if there was one in north jersey or eastern PA or NYC I'd go... I really want to one day.
-
I sold some games at the Dec. 2nd auction in St. Louis. Talk about a buyers market! Low turnout because of a freak snow storm.

I am in Atlanta GA, I guess SuperAuctions and AGS serve the southeast US, Texas, and California.
It will take me about 3.5 hours to get to Charlotte. The ones in NC and TN would take 6 hours for me to get to... Orlando...10 hours...
Don't know when they will have another one here in Atlanta, so I do not want to miss the Charlotte auction... ;)
-
They used to come to KC, but after several poorly attended, low money auctions, they stopped coming. :badmood:
-
ALRIGHT BOYS... :applaud:
Not many replies... :dunno ... everybody must be pretty busy during the holidays... ???
BUMP :dizzy:
Is anybody going? Does anybody know how good the turn out usually is at these December auctions???
Please don't make me buy up all the cabinets myself... :-[...
I will have to get a much bigger truck... ;)
-
They still don't have any info for next year yet. What's the deal? I'm sure they'll be back in Milwaukee in another month or two.
-
I was at St. Louis last weekend. 3 MAME cabs, 2 running MameWah or similar, and one running advancemenu.
At least one had a note saying "I didn't want to sell this, but I'm moving and can't take it with me...".
-
Were there many people there?
How were the prices in general?
-
Turnout sucked, but that's because we got a pretty nasty ice storm here. Pricing was a bit NUTS.
What I mean is that there were fully functioning cabs with 25" monitors and decent games going for <$150, yet there were golden tee cabs with broken/missing monitors going for over $200. Either these people are clueless as to how to mod a cab, or the board was worth more than the monitor (not likely).
Also a heaping helping of cabinet sabotage going on. Things that worked during preview that mysteriously didn't when bidding came around.
Bring your own extension cable, a PC power cable, and a pocket full of fuses. :) Amazing how things magically break....or the good 'ol "oh, the power supply must have a bad fuse." riiiiight. Hiding something are we?
-
Turn-out was amazing!!! Despite it being 20 degrees... and they left the loading bay doors open all the time...
Highlights and pic coming soon... ;D
-
Sorry about the quality...
-
The guy in the plaid shirt and shorts managed to load 6 vids in his pickup truck!!! Count them SIX!!!
-
Pfffffft! :)
That stupid Skee Ball machine made the trip to NC???
:laugh2:
That thing didn't sell in St. Louis. Did it sell there? Also, did they have the cash changer that didn't take current bills? They offered to give it away FOR FREE and no one wanted it, then they said it would be in NC "next week".
-
Does any auction ever make it to BOISE, IDAHO?
-
Here are some highlights...
by no means complete list, just the interesting stuff...
Pretty much all the machines were complete and working... no row of junk cabs in this one.
the non-working machines, or once-working machines were put in a corner and they decided not to sell them at least as long as I stayed. They would bypass the games that they could not get working during the bidding...
Did not stay for any of the driving games...
Tons of Touchmasters and Pachincos to begin with... bunch of Multicades in refurbished cabs...
Only two cocktails... DK Jr and MsPacman
