Title: Problem with Happ Top Firebutton Super Joystick
Post by: lettuce on December 03, 2006, 08:33:30 am
I have a Happ Top Firebutton Super Joystick , and am having a problem with the fire button. As you probably know there is an 'aluminum hook/plate' that sits between the micro switch and the plugger that presses down the 'aluminum hook/plate' to press the micro switch (dont know if ive explained that very well, but you'll know what i mean if you have one of these sticks). The problem im have is this 'aluminum hook/plate' has been bent out of shape slightly and i can seem to get the correct shape back to it. I either bend it so it is pressing the micro switch all the time, or doesnt register when i press the button the top of the stick, or only registers the button press if i have the stick in a certain direction. Has anybody got an tips for me to get the fire button working again??

Edit: just looked on the Happ site and the proper name for the  'Aluminum hook/plate' is, ACTUATOR METAL F/TULIP

Also, make sure the "T" part at the one end is seated properly in the notch for it.
It's really easy to get that out of the proper notch, which causes it to not pivot properly.
