Awesome. I'll have to pick that up when it comes out.

What the retail price?
-
I purchased Under Defeat for approximately $65 US, so I would bet it would retail for about the same if not more. Liksang was sure nice to get import items, too bad they are no longer.

That's a lot of money for an obsolete system...

Obsolete?
Kick yourself in the nuts. :P
It isn't a new game for an obsolete system. It is a new game for one of the greatest systems to ever be released, and it is actually still played pretty regularly since it sits so perfectly in one of my arcade machines.

I was playing just my DC yesterday. Man talk about a system that died before its time. But to still be releasing games. Wow, it is like the Tupac of systems. Just keeps releasing hits!!

I never said it wasn't a great system. I have one of my own. I agree that it died prematurely. I'm just saying that they're no longer supporting it aside from the hacker/homoebrew community. Plus there are new, more capable systems.
They have a few great exclusives, but nothing that really gives me enough reason to leave it plugged in and playing. And there's isn't anything you can do on that thing (such as emulation) that you can't do on a decent PC.
Was it way ahead of it's time? You bet. Has its time passed? I think so. I'm sure this is flame bait... Oh well.

The DC plays almost all of Sega's arcade hits and they are all nearly identical. For that reason alone it is still very very viable.
Just put a 32" HD LCD in my bedroom. What is the only system connected to it? A Dreamcast.

That's pretty much the standard price for importing a new japanese shmup.
Anyway, check out this review: http://insomnia.ac/reviews/naomi/triggerheartexelica/review.php
Don't miss the videos at the bottom. I will probably buy it since I am addicted to shmups.

I agree the DC is the best console out there for its time, shame it went the way of the dodo, there was talk of a setbox version of the DC as well as the PC card that allowed gaming like the Creative 3DO card did so many years ago.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a non Sega comeback for this console in the not too distant future. I would love a portable version. Gametek would be a good candidate.
