Hey! So after building an arcade machine, i wouldnt mind a jukebox.. Ive bought everything, but now a i need a sound system. Just wondering what you guys have used in your jukeboxes? And how loud they are while keeping quality. Thanks!

I have Klipsch Pro-Media speaker system in mine. I wanted to keep the cost down on this project so I bought these. They have a great sound and can get really loud. You do have to sdjust the base on the sub with the increase in volume. I do have digital out on my Juke so I can connect it to my home theater system if need to additional speaker output.
I only paid $80 for my speakers (refurbs)

I use an old microsoft sound system, but as i have a panel PC it means i can feed the audio via USB and don't need an additional sound card. They are quite good quality as they were made by phillips but i don't know if you could even find a set today. I don't remeber the output of them but they are loud enough that i never have them up more than half way.

Mines pretty basic as far as the sound card goes, but i have two different stereo systems i output to. If i want the classic sound of the jukebox, i have the inboard sound card running into a 50watt amp from radioshack, out to an old EQ i found at a garage sale, and that's wired into the original seeburg speaker system in the jukebox. The second system goes into a 300watt aiwa shelf system, that outputs to 2 speakers that came with the stereo and two other speakers i used to have connected to the TV. Bottom line is, with my experience, mess around with what you have first and see how it goes. Try and achieve a sound quality that suits the style of music you prefer the most. I find that my country music and classic rock and such sound great through the original speakers and the low wattage system. For the louder party music, the shelf system is necessary. It really just depends on what you want to use your jukebox for. :)

Thanks for the replies! I thinking about having 2 'hacked' pc speaker amps in my jukebox. both amps will power 2 car speakers, with an additional rca out to connect it to my stereo. what do you guys think of this?
