Title: Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny

I say this as a gigantic Tenacious D fan... and with a very heavy heart... but don't waste your time or money on this piece of crap.  It's like they intentionally made the worst movie they could manage to make.  I want my two hours and $20 back.

I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, but I was hoping it'd at least be enjoyable.

I'm thoroughly addicted to the new cd now, and was really wanting to go see this. I guess I'll wait for the dvd...

Let me put it this way:

The only one of their songs (that wasn't written in 15 minutes for this movie like the title track was) that they used was Dude I Totally Miss You. 

No Tribute.  No Wonderboy.  No Eff Her Gently.  None of the others.  They even did the Tribute video sequence with some other song that sucked.

I'll probably still get sucked into watching this movie since one of my wife's friends is in the movie.  Although her role is "Girl #2" so I'm not sure how big her part is.
