First off I have not done a cap kit yet.... I was hoping to see a picture before ordering parts...
now let me start....
I have an Electrohome G07-CBO (19", standard resolution) monitor in my CC machine... originally when I got it it had a cracked neckboard which I didn't notice until after I powered it up. I eventually got a neckboard for it and since Thursday was nice out I decided to replace the neckboard. After powering the game up I heard the game sounds, but am not getting a picture. I know there is 110 volts going to the power connector for the monitor but havn't tested anything on the monitor boards basically since working on TV's and monitors scare the ---Cleveland steamer--- out of me....
but anyways....
I looked at Bob Roberts site and not only does he sell a cap kit but also sells a Electrohome GO7 Repair Kit (http://www.homearcade.org/BBBB/g07.gif)
the repair kit comes with:
1 Cap Kit
1 Flyback Tranformer
1 HOT (2SD870)
1 Fuse F901
1 Fuse F902
a google search showed me this to be the flyback transformer:
which is that suctioncup peice that I'll need to discharge before screwing with the monitor....
but what is a HOT (2SD870) ?
would I most likely be replacing parts that probibly don't need replaced?
What are some of the things that I should test before making a decision on what to order?
also I went to http://www.mikesarcade.com/arcade/monitors.html hoping to find documentation on the monitor, but it appears that his Monitor Manuals & Schematics currently offline...
does anyone have these documents?
does anyone of you monitor gurus have some advice you are willing to offer so I can get this project moving forward?
thanks.....

did this monitor ever work?
couple of things to check on first before ordering anything
check fuses on chassis
check for bad solder joints
recheck connectors on neck card and look for orange glow from tube neck(did you reconnect the earth wire)
listen for a ticking from the monitor
then if you don't get any luck you can get a repair kit
a hot is a horizontal output transistor
there is someone on this forum who is an ex electrohome tech guy and i am 100 percent he will be in contact with you,if he can't fix it no one can
if it were me i would do everything in the bob roberts except the flyback for now
hope this helps a little

not since I got it, it hadn't worked....I pretty much saved it from joining the landfill...
there was no glow from the necktube hopefully I'll have time to mess around with it in the morning....

Here is the latest manuals site that's literally crammed full of updated manual scans:
http://arcarc.xmission.com
You'll find your monitor manual there.

which one is equivelent to the Electrohome GO7-CBO?
Electrohome G07 13in and 19in Color Raster.pdf
Electrohome G07-901 RGB Monitor.pdf
Electrohome G07-901.pdf
Electrohome G07-902_Manual.pdf
Electrohome G07-904_Manual.pdf
Electrohome G07-CA0.pdf
EDIT: nevermind... while messing with it somemore I found a sticker that says product: 38-G07904-3V so I am assuming it's the Electrohome G07-904_Manual.pdf manual I use....

Here is the scoop, almost any of these manuals will get you "Generic" , in the general direction.
The G07 was actualy a strip down of a JVC television chassis.
The IF and Tuner along with color demodulation section removed.
That is why they were so reliable- build, millions of TV's prove out the design and then use it as a monitor.
Wells Gardenr started the same way, btv they used Fujsitsu General TV chassis.
I know this because I was Electrohome's production engineer on the G07.
Few things, make sure you are connected to an ISO transformer, start by checking for the B+ supply voltage, the manual tells you where.
If you want to contact me direcly, feel free.
keep in mind- if it is a real G07, it is likely 20 years old.
Good luck!!

Hey Rick, if that's so, was it really that more expensive to include some CLIPS to fit the Fuses in.....I mean..........soldered fuses....... :banghead:
Haha.....my newly aquired Centipede has a G07. Completely dead. F901 is blown. I measure a short between the pins of X01...is that normal (case to chassis is about 7k, seems ok ?)
