I am an absolute beginner to electronics and related subjects. I am however very interested in building an arcade machine reminescent of the late 70's and early eighties. I'd like to be able to play four games on the machine (Asteroids-Centepede-Galaga-PacMan) just like we did back 25 years ago. How would I go about doing this? Any info, links, tips, etc., woulld be GREATLY appreciated! Again I am an absolute beginner and know nothing!
Thanks,

Everything you need to know is in Saint's book "Project Arcade". I think it's the best place to start by far. While you wait for the book check out the wiki, there's a ton of info there too.

Saint's book <link> (http://www.amazon.com/Project-Arcade-Build-Your-Machine/dp/0764556169/sr=8-1/qid=1164514883/ref=sr_1_1/002-5746199-7324840?ie=UTF8&s=books) is pretty much the Arcade builders bible.... I'd say it would be the first thing to pick up..... then be sure to read the wiki... those two things will get you started and help you form more specific questions.... you'll find this group very helpfull if they have seen you have done your homework.... there's alot of creative folk here with a whole lot of insight.....
also taking time and checking out the project section will provide examples of what others have done and it's a good way to get yourself going....
