Got my ledwiz in the cp today. Got it wired up and only player two buttons light up.
None of the others will light. currently using powermame and Atomicfe
Can some one tell me how to access the ledwiz files? I cant find files for ledwiz hardware.
Also, in atomicfe, what is "LEDWiz's Game Settings Folder"? I don't see it in the mame32b folders or in the atomicfe folders.
Thanks

Hi,
Did you read tutorial about AtomicFE and Ledwiz? Or the new AtomicFE documentation by Havok?.
Check the Documentation section of my website , i think you will find answer to your question more in depth.
Also, in atomicfe, what is "LEDWiz's Game Settings Folder"?
Before configuring AtomicFE with AtomicManager to use LEdWiz , you have to run the tool : LedWizManager.
In that tool you have to give a Directory where the tool will generate config file for game. So give an empty directory you made and it will be the "LEDWiz's Game Settings Folder" . All Ledwiz files will be generated in that directory.
then in AtomicManager, you make point the "LEDWiz's Game Settings Folder" to that directory too (it should be already correctly set after you use the ledwizmanager).
But all this is explained better in the HOW to guide for LEDWIZ by Gonzobrian. (on my website).

You can delete the AtomicFe.key file in your AtomicFE installation directory. This will remove the new settings, and have it revert back to defaults, or just re-run the AtomicKeys.exe to reprogram the key mappings.

You can open it in Wordpad, which is standard with any Windows machine.

I also cover much of the same information in my documentation (I did not know GonzoBrian was doing a HowTo at the time), available in Acrobat or HTML format. The link is in my sig...

How may edits did it take to line up that arrow? ;)
-
Well i'm at home now on my laptop, and i'm able read all the docs.
What a great way to support atomic.
I have to say that i am impressed with all the help i have received and the ease of use with this front end.
It is obvious that you guys made this newbie friendly, as well as seriously customizable for not newbie.
thanks

Haha - that part I got first try. It's my grammar that's the real problem!
:D

One more question,
How do i change the button settings for plug n play.
None of my buttons work in plug n play
-
That's strange. Do they work if you don't use a plug and play module?
Also, how are you interfacing to the computer? Are you using a keyboard based encoder, or joystick\gamepad?
-
Yeah they work fine during regular game play. Not all the roms i have downloaded work. But the ones that do work, the controls are fine.
I'm using mame default controls, and a keywiz.
When i turn on the plug n plays it goes to a defualt layout menu. The only plug n plays i have downloaded are nintendo 64,playstation1, and snes.
Those are the only ones listed.
My guess is i need to download the mame arcade plug n play to see the other games.
But when in the menu my joystick will move the selector, #1 will chose the selected game.
Once the game starts, the only thing that works is the esc key.
It does this if i'm using the CP or keyboard.
Any ideas?

Hi,
you mean the controls are correct in AtomicFE , you can browse the list and choose the game.
But when the game runs you have no control?
Do you have this problem with all plug'n play modules you installed?
AtomicFE don't change key settings for emultors. May be you have to configure Key for emulator. Pnp Module are configured to work in most of case, but may be due to a specificity of your config emulator settings we choose are bad for you.
-
One thing to check is if the controls work when you fire up the emulator by itself?
-
right now i only have roms for ps1.
Today i'll get some for other pnp's and let you know
-
One other thing: are you using 49 way joysticks?
-
Ok,I installed youkis mame arcade pnp. The controls work fine. But not with angelscry arcades.
Still nothing wth ps1,n64 or snes.
I use happ 8way comp- joys.
I was using mame32b, downloaded mame110 and now more games work.
It took forever to go through the games and remove the ones that don't work.
Today i think i'm going to try some led animations. ;)

You have some utilities to help for that. Things like ROMCENTER or CLRMAME. It checks rom according to your mame version.
But what kind of config are you trying to do? I don't understand, for mame, you want use Pnp modules or you are doing you own configuration with mame110 ?
-
This sure sounds like you just need to configure the controls in the actual emulators. Since the emulator is included in the pnp module, it may be configured in a way that is not compatible (at least initially) with your setup. Try setting up the controls manually:
PS1
Run <AtomicFE Dir>\plugnplay\psx\psxfin.exe
Click on File, then Configuration.
Click on the Controllers Tab
Configure each control the way you would like it.
Click OK, then Exit
N64
Run <AtomicFE Dir>\plugnplay\nintendo64\Project64.exe
Click on Options, Controller Plugin
Define your controls, Click OK
Click File, then Exit.
SNES
Run Run <AtomicFE Dir>\plugnplay\snes\zsnesw.exe
Click on Config, Input #1
Choose Keyb\Gamepad
Click on each control, define it
Close Input #1, repeat for other inputs
Close zsnesw
Good luck!

WOW Havok,
Thanks,that worked perfectly! :applaud:
I really appreciate help you guys have given me.
Working with atomic is just fun!
Today i spent some time playing with the led animations. what an easy interface for that. :notworthy:
