Here I was, with everytrhing just about done.... I turned on my system this morning and saw the "Windows is updating your system settings" message, as if I had recently installed something, even though I haven't installed anything for a week. When the system came up, hardware stretch was no longer working!
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the video driver, no luck there... I'm getting ready to try DirectX 9, but it can't be uninstalled... I'll probably have to wipe the darn system and start over....
I wish I had left this thing running DOS! :(
Anyone else see their system spontaneously stop using hardware stretch?

If you are using XP use system restore to go back to a point before the update.

No, this is 98SE.
Installing DirectX 9 and the latest video drivers brought back hardware stretch... now that it's working again, I'm backing up my system drive...

If there was a way to get the Act-Labs gun working in DOS, I'd go back... I can give up Visual Pinball, DAPHNE, and the PC versions of House Of The Dead and Golden Tee, but there will be a riot in my house if I take away the gun...
