Title: SOLD

Great for a MAME Bartop Cabinet and best of all the monitor is already open frame, so you will only have to place it in cabinet and begin.

EDITED:

The specs are as follows:

Ultra-High Brightness (sunlight readable, 800nit) 15.1" LCD open frame monitor. This is one of the brightest monitors I have ever seen at more than double the brightness of a standard LCD screen.
Specs:

(datasheet here:
1024x768x256K resolution
15.1" screen
800nit brightness, 350:1 contrast ratio
Includes VGA controller board (VGA to LVDS converter)and "button board"
Includes 4 output high-power backlight inverter
cabling included: VGA controller-to-LVDS, backlight cables, button board and cable

Runs on 12V DC (2.5mm barrel connector, not included but very easy to get power bricks with this spec), 60W

I paid well over $200.00 for these a couple of months ago but I am only asking $45.00 including shipping of about "free"(in the US).  So grand total would be $45.00.  Not bad for a brand new monitor.

Dont miss out and PM if you are interested!!  I will take paypal or money order.  And of course cash!!  All though I would not mail cash!!

PS

I was going to build a Bartop dual set-up and since then have abandoned the project.  Oh well my lost can be your gain!!

I'm interested, but I'll need to take some measurements in my machine. I really need a 19", but I might have to settle for something like this. You don't have the power supplies, correct?

correct, they (power cord) are about 5 to 8 bucks though.  Other then the cord, it is ready to go.

Is that price for each? Or for both together?

The price is for one unit.  I have three in which I am willing to sell.  I bought the total of four, but will turning one of them into a DIY projector.

So tempting.  I know they'd just sit on a shelf like the 13" CRT touchscreens I bought two years ago.

I'm thinking of building a Visual Pinball bartop.  I'm not sure about these, though, in terms of how they differ from a standard 15" LCD PC monitor.

It is just like a standard LCD, it just does not contain the shell.  ie the clothing.  Meaning Dell would take this LCD and put their outter casing on it.  If I am not mistaken I beleive this model has been used in  several Veiwsonic variants.

It is a real LCD just stripped down to the frame.

ADD NOTE:

It connects just like a PC monitor (because it is a LCD/PC monitor), VGA connectors.

Post by: whatzcrackn on December 14, 2006, 08:33:02 am
Sold all the ones I did not open.  This last unit will be considered used.  It is used because I did take it out of the box and plastic.  I was going to install this one into a home diy projector.  Thought I had the technical skills to do so, nevertheless this is another anbandoned project.

It will be sold as is only because I opened.  The plastic in front of the LCD has never been removed, so the screen does not have any scratches on it.

It is one of those things were you have the impulse to start something and three months later.  I dont want to go that route.

Good point.

The only thing I touched was the actual LCD.  I have not connected all the parts to make it a functional LCD.  So with that in mind I can not honestly say the works properly thing.  That is why I am not selling it as new and also as is.

To be fair since all the others were sold unopened, you didn't test those either so can't "guarantee" they work.  Were they all sold as-is as well?

Well, if folks doubt his integrity here (I don't), maybe the people who bought the other monitors can post in with the results when they arrive.

I have been selling on ebay for years and I try to post the items as acturate as possible.  The last thing I want to do is fraud someone and/or cheat someone.

Plz do not turn this thread into one of the PSP 1.5 ones.  All I am trying to do is sell itmes that were setting around and I have no use of.  The open one is just that opened.  If I was a scammer.  I would have posted it new or passed it off as new on the ther three.

Again plz do not turn this into locked thread, any questions contact me.  Dont air you laundry and you are not even a buy.

Thx

O.K.   Received mine today.
Is there any documentation for these?
There's not a peice of paper in the box.
I'm sure I can figure out the connections for most of it, but it would nice to verify before I put power to it.
Any info would help.

Thanks

Can you give a little rundown on how you connected it up.  Might save some of us some problems if we do not have to guess when we get ours.  Most interested in how the 12V connects up and the backlights.

Thanks

When I got them, they were not sealed.  I did the sealing.

Prints, I bought them from a person on ebay and when I got them, he had like 50 plus for sell, if the prints are his or someone elses, I dont know?  Man yours is just like I got it, the three new ones I sold, sat in the box the entire time and were not removed.

It is not used at all.

Yours is new, I did not get over on you.  :'( , sry if you feel that way.  I sold yours new.

SSC's was not new due to me handling the LCD.  The SSC LCD was located in my house were the other three were not and plus I sealed those prior to listing the used one, impossible for me to sell the used one to you.

It's simple. I used a 12v wall wart for power. Here are some pics to connect the backlights.
