Title: ti4200 TV-Out causing big performance hit
Post by: brianoneill on March 27, 2003, 05:51:53 pm
Hi,

I'm building a cabinet and have decided to put a TV in rather than a monitor.

I've got Gainward ti4200 128ram with vivo card on an athlon 2200 pc.

I am using 'TV Tool' to display windows/mame on my 25" SANYO TV.

It all looks fairly well...although I can only select between 2 resolutions but the big problem is that games that run on my monitor at 60/60 fps, now run around 45/60 fps.

Is this normal while using tv-out ? Anything I can do tho fix/improve it ?

Regards,
Brian.

Check to see if a more current driver is available for your card.  Some drivers have not been optimized as well as those from other manufacturers and and update will sometimes help.
