Title: Has the Contrors.ini format changed? 3.0B8 > 3.1.1
Post by: tba on November 19, 2006, 08:40:03 pm
I have been using 3.08beta 8 for quite some time now. i decided to upgrade to 3.1.1 but try as i might i cant get WinCab to see my controller file. i wasn't sure if the format has changed or what, so i thought i would ask.

I am using a keyboard hack, so changing my Keys isn't possible, hence the custom Controller file. I haven't changed anything else so i am a bit stymied

No, it hasn't, but some keys (CTRL/SHIFT/ALT) aren't being seen properly in 3.1.1.  There's a beta executable of 3.1.2 (for WinCab only) available at http://webpages.charter.net/celamantia/jukebox/wincab312b.zip .  Try downloading that and unZipping it over your WinCab executable.  Does that help?

YES YES YES!

thankyou, i was starting to pull out my already too few hairs over this one! i was hoping you'd have a fix when you got back!

the keys i couldn't get working were: RCTRL, LCTRL, LSHIFT, RSHIFT, LALT, RALT.  in case you wanted to know, but the Beta fixed everything, my old Controls.ini works like a charm!

thanks again

Great!  Thanks for the feedback!

I think I'll make the beta official this weekend unless someone sees a big problem with it.  (I'll save little problems for later.)
