Title: Artwork Help Please
Post by: Razor on November 18, 2006, 07:25:07 pm
Im nearing completion of a bartop, which i'd already decided to do to a Neo Geo MVS theme/colour scheme.  Im going to use sideart and a custom marquee I found on the arcade art library site.  The only thing I really need is the control panel art.

The trouble I have is that I really havent got a clue about using photoshop, i've tried many times to do something and I cant even figure out measurements etc, so was wondering if anyone with a bit of spare time wouldnt mind knocking me up something simple for my small control panel.  The only problem might be that ive already cut the holes out for the buttons and joystick, but have a little diagram with measurements (not made by me), as to the location of the stick and buttons (6 player buttons, 1up, 2up).

If anyone is available to help would really appreciate it, aside from the black/red/white colour scheme on the panel, I just wanted maybe some small arrows around the joystick and simply "player 1 and player 2" above the corresponding buttons.

Sorry for the lame post, I messed around with photoshop today and after 2 hours I came up with nothing, apart from a long read of help files  ::) :-\

Will upload the diagram with dimensions on tommorow if anyone can, thanks.

Well a kind member of a forum helped me with this!  :applaud:

Ive got the layout in a .dwg format, what format should I convert it to, to edit in a package, also what package is best to use?  I did manage to convert this to a jpeg, but couldnt see to do anything with it in Adobe Illustrator, none of the fill options did anything nor anything else for that matter.  If anyone has any answers would be great, I cant go any further with my project until the artwork is finished, cheers.
