Title: Mala sound issues?
Post by: Dave Wave on November 18, 2006, 07:30:01 am
Does Mala use windows media player to play sounds, or is it built in to Mala itself? I am running Mala under Win98, and get the windows "ding" every time I launch a game or open the history file. The functions work, but you just get that annoying ding. Any Ideas?

Thanks!

Sounds like a Windows thing..? :dunno What event is the 'Ding' allocated to in Windows?

MaLa is mute unless you enable sounds and then specify what sounds you want on certain events.

It is the windows critical event sound. It sounds like some function of Mala is causing it to happen in the background, but there are no windows open when I shut down.  Are there any common problems with Win 98 and Mala sounds (it works perfectly under XP...sigh...)
