One last thing I need to complete my skins game 2000 cabinet, the keypad..
If anyone comes across one, or has one in their parts pile, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Hmmm.... looks like an old timey telephone keypad.

Tried 3 of 'em so far, the wiring matrix is wrong on all of them so far, not something that is easily modified on the backplane, go figure :(

Is this for the original game board? Because I just saw a USB number pad yesterday that I could pick up for you. It looks just like the right side of a standard keyboard, and it was only $10. Let me know if something like that would work, and I can go a get dimensions, etc...

Have you considered ditching the matrix completely and mounting some tact switches to the back? The buttons would then simply press in a pushbutton.

Yeah, it's for the skins 2000 jamma board, but the wiring has to be matrix style, and I have yet to find a 12 button one with the proper wiring...
I'm suprised at how difficult this has been, the wiring is pretty simple, hell I could make one out of regular buttons if I didn't care what it looked like ;D
It goes something like this: (lets see how everything lines up:
1 2 3
A [] [] []
B [] [] []
C [] [] []
D [] [] []
So pressing 5 would just give continuity to B2, pressing * would be D1, etc..
LIke I said, pretty simple, or at least I thought it was:-)
Damn hard to get my hands on the right wiring! :)

I thought about that, but I'm still hoping to run accross an original keypad, or at worst, a proper matrix wired one. AS it is, my breadboarding skills are a bit rusty, and if I get something other than the original, my hands are going to be pretty full fabricating the mounting pod
