I was gone for over a year from these boards. When I left, I was a top 5 poster. Now I'm down around 14th.
I noticed CT had 14,000+ posts. I figured he must be building them up steadily over time. Then I got online this morning and every 5 minutes he's got a new post!
ChadTower, what do you do for a living that affords you this kind of time? :dizzy:
-
Please don't try to be a :badmood:

I don't care about post count. It means nothing to me, so if this is a complaint about slipping in post count while you were gone, oh well.
-
It's not a complaint. It was a friendly jab. I guess it's hard to tell when you put it into words. :dunno
-
On a side note, the only reason I've got so much free time is because I'm unemployed.

If post count doesn't matter to us, then why do we post in threads like these ?

Let's not go pointing fingers. This whole thread was meant as a joke. Nobody should start taking it seriously.
-
Just to fix data, I guess. Our instinct is to restore the damaged data to its normal state.

wasn't meant to point fingers....I did use the term " US "

Having high post counts is nothing to be ashamed of, it just means you have more time to surf than other people who have to do work cause the boss is around.

For me it's more a function of typing eleventy brazillian WPM. I can make a post in about 5 seconds and then go back to my work.

c'mon, come up with a better excuse than that. I type at 50+ wpm, I just can't find that much stuff worth typing about or worth responding to

Boredom?

that's sufficent

For what it's worth, I just tested my typing and it came out to over 50 words per minute. When I had my hand in a cast with a broken finger, my typing speed was up above 80 words per minute. Either I've really dropped off since then or this test isn't working right.

Come on! They're not that well thought out.
-
They are worth more than you pay for them. That's good value.

what site and test...I'm curious
-
Last time I tested myself (years ago) I came out about 72 WPM. Wonder if I've gotten faster or slower since.
Oh, what Chad does for a living? I pay him to keep the # of posts per day high :)

Saint,
You couldn't afford that kind of manhour pay
before we know it, BYOAC is a pay site cause you have to pay CT to post all day

You're people skills are incredible.

That wasn't a usage of people skills.

Chad doesn't need people skills. When he shows up for work, they lock him in his cube
and release him for two pee breaks and one lunch til it's time to go home.
-
The second pee break is during lunch.

must be different labor laws in Mass
-
If more people started bringing their machines to work and leaving them in the break room, everyone here would have more time to get on the forums. It would be good distraction for everyone else and a good excuse for you.
-
We have wireless laptops. No need to stop for things like toilet breaks.

Reminds me of when I applied for a co-op with the Corps of Engineers. The application came to a spot asking how many words I could type a minute. I had no idea, but did know I am fairly quick. I asked my mom what is a decent number for typing, and she told me with a confident tone 120! I didn't know better, so I put that down. :laugh2: :laugh2:
I got the job...but they never asked about the typing thing. :laugh2: :laugh2:
-
on a side note, damnit, I missed my leet post. I was going to screenshot the occasion, but I wasn't paying attention. Thats what I get for rarely looking at my post count.
-
I can type incredibly fast -- 85 WPM on a good day. Then I see people typing 120+ WPM and I think, "Jesus, that's like the difference between me and someone who only types 40 WPM. How is that even possible? Maybe I can't type incredibly fast"
I can't really wrap my head around it being possible to increase my typing speed by 40 or 50 WPS. I think the world record is over 200 WPM. My fingers are already moving so quickly and fluidly when I'm typing at my fastest that it doesn't seem possible that they could be typing more than twice as fast. I guess I don't really know what my point is.
and so on . . .
-
I guess I don't really know what my point is.
"Check out how well I can describe how teh kewl I yam"? ;)
-
The world record for typing wasn't set on a qwerty keyboard. It has a layout built for speed. The standard qwerty keyboard was designed back when type writers were common. It was implemented intentionally to slow people down. This prevented them from locked up their type writers.

You are right. But I've never claimed to have excellent grammar skills.

This post took me 12 minutes to type. How fast is that? Wait, 15 minutes.

I can't tell if you mis-spelling is "manure" or "manwhore". ;D
-
Yrmom pays well for both, so I make out either way.
-
Everytime you post, we all pay.
