That's funny stuff. Dude tries so hard. It's funny to me because when the Red Sox won the Series, for the next few months, people used to stop me everywhere I went and ask if I was Johnny Damon. Sometimes they'd not believe me and get pissed that I was lying. Sometimes I'd get free stuff at restaurants with a "sure you're not him" wink. People stared at me everywhere I went, clearly trying to decide if I was him. Dude was a God in MA for a while there. My son, who was 3 at the time, used to look at the standups in Papa Gino's and yell "hey that's daddy".
Then he signed with the Yankees and people started yelling at me, harrassing me for a few weeks, but at least then when I said I wasn't him they were willing to believe it. Since they didn't want to meet him so badly anymore.
It was weird. Dude looks exactly like my cousins facially, more so than me, but I had the same coloring/face/build/height/hair/beard. The hair and beard really did it, probably.
Now, I'm 20lb heavier, not in football shape anymore, and people tell me I look like Jack Black. :laugh2:
