In general, no. 
I'm told it's averages about 1-5% speed increase depending on game and computer (some better, some actually slower).  An increase of this amount would be only noticeable on borderline games; you won't notice the games change from 800 fps to 820 fps (2.5%), nor those games that go from 20 fps to 20.5 fps (2.5%).  But even the borderline 59 fps to 60.5 fps (~2.5%) might not be that noticeable. [shrug]
