Hey all you emu-freaks. I just wanted to take a second to say that among all of the different emulation and cab sites I go to, this site has got to be, without a doubt, THE BEST! That's due mostly to the fact that people come here and don't flood with moronic topics and posts. The information at this site is fantastic. And the members of the forum here are perhaps the best of the best when it comes to helping each other out. I have seen so many questions answered here, and so much insight and help given that it makes me proud to be a part of the scene. The people here are what makes the scene great and I look forward to spending even more time here. Thanks again for helping to make things so great. Here's to ALL of you!! :)

Definatly an excellent resource.. I wouldn't have even thought of being able to build my own before this site..
One of the better communities also... some msg boards have some stuck up persona's...

Absolutely. You'll find the people here, for the most part, will help answer your question without calling you a moron :) Or, like some other forums, not answer your question, but call you a moron all the same. This is the most mature message forum I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Plus, the database of examples, links, etc. is incredibly huge. Full of info. I found everything I needed to know to build my cab from BYOAC - whether from the message forum, example pages, or a link provided by the site.

i've only been registered here a short time, and have asked quite a few questions (that have probably been asked dozens of times before) - but i still got very helpful, friendly replies (ok, so i asked about finding a ROM burner once, and my post got deleted (sorry SirPoonga - me no read forum rules!) - great forum though)

The best part about this forum and this community is the international slant. I really like how it has paralleled the development of MAME to some degree--many different people from many different countries with many different talents coming together for arcade videogame preservation. Fostering friendships across the globe, without any political or cultural barriers to get in the way. Just good people sharing a common interest.
Sorry--went off the deep end there for a moment ;). Damn sentimentality creeps up on you quick after age 30!
