Title: Apex Electronics in Burbank, CA
Post by: DrumAnBass on November 08, 2006, 07:42:28 pm
Electronics salvage yard Apex Electronics; some damn cool stuff - check out this gallery of photos I saw posted on BoingBoing:

Back in my "CyberPunk" phase I would buy cool old circuit boards from them and sew them into leather jackets etc.  It is also SciFi movie set decorating heaven!

I bet someone could make an insane "Brazil" (the movie not the country!) themed cabinet based around junk from Apex...

Pretty cool place.....

Reminds me of that show "Junkyard Wars"....I used to love that show...the original brit version Scrapheap Challenge and the first 1 or 2 US seasons with Cathy Rogers and Robert Llewellyn....

Lllewellyn was entertaining as always

Stop taking pics of my basement.

Actually, I wish my basement didn't resemble that place.

I've been there a couple of times.  I got lucky once and scored a few volcano switches (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=51688.0).  However, that was just dumb luck.  It's hard to find anything amid the mess.
