I'm replicating a MAME box, and in copying everything around, I've apparently been stupid enough to fudge up a Mamewah configuration.
To make a long story short, I've got my Mamewah "back", but none of the images are displaying (it appears as if the paths are correct). The background displays correctly, but I'm not getting any of the marquees or screenshots.
Brilliant, I know.
Everything launches, etc. so I'm good there.
Beyond that, I've a feeling I probably lost some nifty little things I found before like disabling the l/r and/or OK press, but anyway.
Can anyone offer a little of advice? Or for that matter, an updated, relatively thorough .ini file?
Much obliged!

Did you install the Mamewah System files like suggested in your other thread?

This is the original machine, not the duplicate. Waiting on a hard drive to show up...

Sounds like something I did once.
The ini got hosed up somehow.
Not sure about getting the pictures back other than making sure the paths are correct and such.
Here is what you need to disable the left/right OK thingy:
skip_disclaimer 1
skip_gameinfo 1
Good luck.

Ah. Excellent--thank you. That helps.
What's happening and has happened is happening because, in part, I'm using MameWah config, I believe. It keeps dropping my backgrounds, not saving (some error), etc.
When I load, everything is fine, but when I reboot is when I seem to be losing things. Kind of not the kind of fun I was hoping to be having, but at least--at a worst case, I can rebuild my C drive; I keep my MAME stuff all separate on a different drive.

More and more, I think I've got an issue with Mamewah itself. For some reason, I don't think it likes me using something out of _installed layouts.
-
I only found MameWah Config trouble - it had some very buggy behaviour resulting in constant layout resetting??? I never use it now.... and I just make my own layouts, I tried a few 'installed' ones with no avail - but I was pretty green at that time, so I may have overlooked something.
Have you got the artwork_1_image_path and artwork_2_image_path etc correctly set? I mean, you haven't set the paths the wrong way around? Also, try copying the path directy from Windows Explorer into the ini to ensure there are no errors.
Good luck! :)
