Ok, I wasnt sure if all the praise was just Hype.. and if
I would really consider the movie all that funny...
But, I went to see it anyway. It was a LOT more funny than
I expected. I was laughing the entire movie. The entire
theater was litterally in tears from laughter ;D
Anyway, just wanted to pass it along. Go check it out :)

I agree it was hilarious. Not a movie to bring your kids to though. Next to me at the theater was a kid no older then 7 and his mom, at least his mom covered his eyes during the naked wrestling match. I couldn't believe they stayed through the whole movie.

The movie theaters around me are lame. Nobody opened it this weekend.

Saw it on Friday night - was hilarious - although I still have nightmares over the naked wrestling. He does a great job of upsetting people. Loved it :laugh2:

It just occurred to me that to some degree this movie will kill his character by giving him nationwide exposure. After this movie he will be recognized by A LOT more people.

Saw this character on Letterman, can't say I would want to see the movie... looks like the same crap similar to the Jerky Boys. I guess I'm just not one for pranks.
His Ali G character was funny every now and then, but this latest incarnation gets old after a couple minutes, at best.

Borat definitely has a limited shelf-life. But Baron-Cohen will probably simply move on and create a new character.
The same thing happened with Ali-G. The spoof interviews in which the interviewee believed that Ali-G was a real person were hilarious. But he wouldn't get away with that these says as the character has become too well known.

Ive seen the borat character on Ali G show.. and was sometimes funny.. but not
overly. However, the level he takes the character in this movie is way off
the charts ! Things and situations you cant even fathom.
As for the letterman thing, Ive not seen it... but I have seen him do an
add on CNN. He wasnt anywhere near what was shown in the movie.
Maybe he shot 200 takes worth of each various sceen on differing
people to get the best results. But also, again, the situations and
types of things he came up with in this are just hilarious.
