I'll throw Mama's Family out there. That show was on forever. WHY?!
Others?
-
I like Mama's Family.
I'd say most current shows would fall into complete crap. I can't deal with most of them. Everybody Loves Raymond is just slow witted Seinfeld and I never did like Seinfeld much to begin with.
-
Friends was absolutely dire.
-
Everybody Loves Raymond and Friends are the two that jump out at me, but of course they don't touch the stuff you get from WB like Reba or Moesha or Sabrina the Teenage Witch, etc., etc.
-
I liked the early seasons of Sabrina. Then again, that's mostly because I've had a thing for Melissa Joan Hart since Clarissa Explains It All's first season.
I think my biggest sitcom pet peeve is that so many of them are about neurotic Jews in NY. I don't have a problem with neurotic people, don't have a problem with Jews, don't have a problem with NY... but damn, does every freakin' sitcom have to be about neurotic Jews in NY?

I'll second Mama's Family... I could not stand that show!
-
This thread wouldn't be complete without a mention of the unspeakably dreadful Will & Grace.
-
I loved mama's family when I was a kid. As for whats on now studio 60 and
twenty good years are both boaring as hell.
I thought 20 good years would be good because of john lithgow but the horrible writing kills it.
-
Some people say that Acording to Jim is terrible and "not even funny". Ah what do I know? :dunno

Agreed.

"Small Wonder" is a worthy runner-up.
-
I'm not going to select bad shows I've never seen much of (Barney, Teletubbies, Mighty Morphin etc.). I'm picking shows that at some point I watched before it hit me how bad they were.
American Idol - it never ends. Even after a season, you have to endure songs, commercials, and various other appearances by the winner (and runner-ups). I watched the first season and I watch the beginning of the next few seasons to see the bad auditions.
Jerry Springer (after they took the fights off) - I would watch this if I caught it on. I always liked the "I look GOOD" nasty chicks that would be on there. It just never was the same after they wouldn't show you people duking it out.
The Simple Life (nuff said)
Scooby Doo - I seem to be alone in this category, but I hate the original cartoon, the movie(s), just about anything to do with that "gang"
-
Most sitcoms are based around lies in the storyline and how the characters can find funny ways to get out of the situation that otherwise really didn't need a lie to be told. But with no lie, no show most times.
Everybody Loves Raymond is a prime example, i do enjoy that show though.

As much as I love everything Trek.... I couldn't stand "Enterprise"....
-
Chalk up another for "Friends."
Er, "Enterprise" was a sitcom? :dizzy:
-
Golden Girls...never watched it but I hate it nonetheless ;)

Might as well have been.... :censored: Rick Berman.... I thought the whole thing was a joke, and the finale pretty much made it out to be.
-
I doubt this one lasted 3 seasons but the one with "Kelly Rippa" is absolutely atrocious. It's got every sitcom cliche and bad acting you can think of. Yet I bet it's a big hit in the midwest.

Okay, I'll bite since I've never seen it.
What was the finale?
-

What was the finale?
The finale episode was a Next Generation holodeck adventure (taking place during "The Pegasus"). Riker used the holodeck to replay Archer's final mission, before the founding of the Federation, to help him decide whether to tell Picard about the Pegasus cloaking device. I found that it really wasn't that well written......

Step by Step. Hands down worst show ever. Partrick Duffy???sad.

i guess the chappelle show isnt a sitcom...

Without that we might never have had Scuzzlebutt.

Uh..."Full House". For the love of god I dont believe noone has mentioned this yet. "7th heaven" comes in at a close second. I HATE shows that are comprised of "cute kid" antics ie. lots of close ups, cutsie one liners or multiple liners for that matter. These shows make me hate children, now when my son smiles at me all cute I just yell at him. "What's yo angle boy!!!" ;D

I was going to say "Boy Meets World", but I like the name Topanga so much I'll let that one ride.
Who's the Boss? should make anybody's short list.

Hey! I like Boy Meets World. Eric is pretty funny. (I only like the newer ones though. Starting at college.)

I like the redhead in the college episodes.

She is a tall drink of water. Not bad at all.

Yeah, Small Wonder is what lordtodd75 mentions, plus some "Robot-flare". Truly awe-inspiring.

I now have the Small Wonder song stuck in my head.
She's a small wonder, pretty and bright with soft curls.
She's a small wonder, a girl unlike unlike other girls.
She's a miracle, and I grant you
She'll enchant you at her sight.
She's a small wonder, and she'll make your heart take flight.
She's fantastic, made of plastic.
Microchips here and there.
She's a small wonder, brings love and laughter everywhere.

Another vote for Friends. An a first vote for Joey (as if Friends wasn't enough). Also no one has mentioned King of Queens.
Congui.
