Title: Need Sophisticated Practical Jokes
Post by: fredster on November 03, 2006, 02:17:20 pm
The folks at BYOAC are some of the most crafty and ingenious people on the planet.  Am I right ?  :notworthy:

I have need of some practical jokes that go beyond the common for one of my coworkers.

We have been in little shooting wars before, but I'm looking for something new and fresh.  I'm looking to turn our small scale border skirmish into thermo neclear war.  But I want it to be something that isn't super gluing his locks or some high school level joke.  I want this to be memorable.

But I want to still have a job the next day.

I am soliciting suggestions. I know we have evil genuis yet to be untapped here.....

I'd seen this one a long time ago, but it is probably too costly, and could get you in trouble.

I recommend doing a few of the computer pranks, like the msword autocorrect prank.

I like shardian's so far.

This man is immune to whoopie cushions. He already farts without any inhibition. No one would notice.

I'm partial to the cardboard and crime scene office pranks here:

But there has to be better.

There's always the "mess with his computer desktop" thing.  Get on his computer (assuming Windows), minimize everything, and hit print-screen. That captures the entire screen. Paste that into the paint program, and save it somewhere on the computer. Then remove all icons from his desktop so he has a blank screen. Then change his background wallpaper to the screen-capture you made. Voila, looks like his normal desktop, acts like his computer isn't working.

Or simply change his mouse setting from 'right handed' to 'left handed'.

I've also swapped keys around on the keyboard.  Specifically the 'm' and 'n'.  This obviously works best on the hunt-and-peck types (like me).

Which, while funny, results in calls to the help desk and consumes company resources on a prank... not happy bosses.

Better do something more self contained.
