Picked up 2 new pins recently.
#1 Star trek TNG.
DMD is dim when cold, but brightens up when warm.
No broken ramps, clean playfield, clean "toys". Clean cabinet.
Works great!
#2 Star wars Trilogy Limeted Edition.
Very clean overall. Has a few "issues"
Needs a couple solenoids replaced and the x-wing gun repaired.
Otherwise 8/10 easily.
Any idea on what these may get when shopped/repaired?

Most Star Treks go for $2200-2800 or so depending on the condition. Star Wars, in good shape, I would say about 2200 or so.
-
Star Wars is usually less than that... if not for the license it would be a $1000 game at best. It's not much of a player.
STTNG is a strong game, strong license, and the quoted price isn't too far off in some locations. Will go for 10% or so less in other places.

Replace that dying DMD before it causes you more serious issues.

Awesome!
Thanks guys.
Any good sources for a new dmd?
As for star wars.. Yes, it's not much of a player. Shallow ruleset, sega quality.
Star trek is a bit of a suprise. good ruleset, smooth shot sequences, lots of mini-modes.
I may hang onto star trek for a little while, and sell star wars (and possibly pinbot)

Dare we ask how much you paid?

$1800 for both.

Niiiice.

Nice deal!
A new DMD will usually run you $125-$150 at any reputable pinball parts dealer. I use Bay Area Amusements myself (they're fairly local) but Marco Specialties, Pinball Life, Little Shop of Games, and the Pinball Resource are all great.
I just popped 2 new DMD's in my newest games (Rocky and Bullwinkle and CFTBL) and it's easy as pie to do and makes SUCH a difference.

Like others have said, get a new dmd for TNG. Terry at pinballlife.com has them for 120.00. Pretty good price actually. All the other sources posted are good suppliers too.
Great price btw on those machines.
Don't get rid of TNG... I've had mine for almost two years and it still hands me my behind often.....

I second the recommendation for TNG. I'm not a Trek fan but it is a good game. The Star Wars pins, and I am a SW fan, all pretty much suck.
