Title: newb question, but i dont know what forum
Post by: kudah440 on November 02, 2006, 07:50:07 pm
OK, so i finally did what i thought was enough research (about a years worth) and got an idea on parts, software, materials,  put together a computer to run mame and ordered buttons and joysticks...then a stupid question hit me.......
my project is a ms pac-man cocktail cabinet, when I put it together is player two going to have to play upside down, or can you specify the orientation of the players??? sorry i have no idea which forum this pertains to because it may be a emulation or even a video card problem for all i know. lol

Welcome to the wonderful world of arcade gaming.

What MAME version are you running?

MAME32?
Or MAME and a frontend?

you set it to cocktail mode and it will flip for player 2 you can set it from the in game menu using the tab key.

Oh and welcome!

There were a number of games designed to be played on a cocktail style cabinet.  Are you going to make all of them available?  I know the list is longer, but Galaga comes to mind.  With a joystick and 1 or 2 buttons you could extend the use of the cab greatly.
