That dude is asking for $18.00 to ship 5 buttons.
Something just ain't right!
-
Didnt see that. Ouch...sticking fleabay shipping rapage.
-
Yeah, amusement911 is well known for his outrageous shipping charges ... he even tried to chage a $100 pickup fee last year.
Cheers.
-
...hehe, I shipped a set of four with wiring and everything to GERMANY for $5, so yeah its a little high. ;D

One of my only Ebay negs is when I won a monitor locally for $6... then dude tried to charge me a $25 "pickup fee" when I showed up to get it. His rationale was that he would have made his profit on the shipping, and since I was picking it up, he still deserved that profit.
I told him I would pay a $5 pickup fee but no more than that since he didn't deserve a shipping profit without doing the work to ship. He refused and I left without the monitor. I had negative feedback the next day. :lame:

You'll have to forgive Chad, he confuses the BST forum with EE on a regular basis... :laugh2:

The reason for many people to do this is that they don't get charged for shipping.
So, sell something for 1buck and 10bucks shipping and handling. They only pay 3cents to ebay instead of 30 (or whatever).
Basically, know what you agree too before you agree. Because many people move ALL their profit to shipping for this reason.
Don't blame them, blame EBay for allowing it to become common.
-
well that's real simple then isn't it? refuse local pickup and state that in the listing..:-)

Actually it's against EBAY's terms of service.
