Title: Thurstmaster Nascar Pro Digital Racing Wheel
Post by: Encryptor on November 01, 2006, 07:04:09 pm
I'm in the process of building my cabinet. As I work on it I'm always thinking of different things I can do with it. So far I have the main cp and will have a dedicated Tron cp. I knew I had a steering wheel in the attic so I went digging and found it. I figure I can have a racing/driving cp as well.

I have an I-Pac2 for the joysticks and buttons and I just ordered a Hagstrom ME4 for the spinner and trackball. I didn't remember that the wheel was digital so I was looking into an analog encoder to buy.

Now that I see it's a Thrustmaster Nascar Pro Digital Racing Wheel and Pedals with both a gameport plug and a USB plug do I need to purchase a separate encoder for this device or can I just plug it into the USB port and go for it?

I also have a Logitech Extreme 3D Digital joystick that is USB as well. If I decide to make a jet fighter type cp could I just hook this to the USB port without an encoder as well?

You don't need encoders for PC USB devices, only arcade controls.
