Title: Bootskin question

I've been trying to use bootskin to cover up the standard win XP loading screen but it makes my PC crash on load up.
It loads the image but then I get a blue screen saying IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL then error code numbers.

I've tried multiple images and it happens with all of them, I've used bootskin on my main pc and it works fine.
Anyone know how I can change the image without the use of that program?

Easy to do manually see the wiki.

Have you tried the 2 other versions of bootskin?   There were alternate vers available for PCs that have probs with the original.  These are on the same download page.
