Used to be the biggest baseball fan on the planet... gave up on MLB in the mid 90s strike.  Always very happy to see an underdog win, and the press had the Tigers almost universally sweeping this series, so the Cards taking it in 5 is awesome.

And there are few baseball towns like St Louis... St Louis and Boston, best baseball towns in the world. 

If LaRussa wasn't already a first ballot hall of famer, he sure is now.

I'm just happy baseball is over!  I just can't get into baseball at all, it just seems so slow after watching hockey and football.  The only bad thing about baseball being over is that means the damn NBA will be starting... ugh
