Title: MAME Vertical picture problem

Hi,

A friend has set up his PC with Mamewah and MAME.

The problem he has is that horizontal games run fine but vertical games run sideways.

Whats wrong?

I have had this problem before but can't remember how to fix it.
I have tried talking to him on MSN but he isn't really a PC guy. It took hours setting up MAMEWAH/MAME with him over MSN. LOL.

Any help appreciated.

Let me guess: Intel graphics chip?

They (and some others) have an "autorotate" feature that's on by default.  There are a few ways around it; MameFAQ w05 (http://www.mame.net/mamefaq.html#w05) goes into them, but if you're not going to rotate the screen, I'd go the disable autorotate route.

I will pass that on next time he is online.
The horizontal games are fine but when a vertical games is loaded thats when the screen goes sideways.

Hopefully that is the solution.
