No, I'm not eating/sniffing it. Though maybe I should try it on toast.
I just got a hot glue gun, a $12 craft version, and I find I use it a couple times a day. I keep gluing things to other things. And they stick. It's fun.

Another quality day at the office, eh? :laugh2:
-
Not while I'm at work, dingleberry.
Though if I had reason to, I would.

Works great on electrical components. If you're worried about a tiny solder job popping off you can run a bead of hot glue over it. In a lot of situations it's a superior alternative to electrical tape, too.
-
That is why I got mine, originally. To insulate a couple of very close high voltage conductors. Then I just got out of hand and am now looking around the house for things that need gluing so I can use the damn thing again.

Just buy a bunch of popsicle sticks and start making cabins.

I have been thinking of making a cab out of Legos.

I'd use superglue for that...
-
Dude that much superglue would cost way too much and superglue sets way too fast.
-
OK I probably should not encourage him but.....
Hey did you know they have a slower setting glue stick for woodworking? It gives you a little more play time. I use to buy it from sears.
-
those tiny superglue bottles are a ripoff...go to a hobby store and buy some JET CA (cyanoacrylate)...
THAT'S what I'd use to build any large lego thingie. Glue guns are great however...I use mine all the time.

Good to know. I rarely build anything, though... I do a lot of repairs but don't usually build anything from scratch.

I use Velcro with about as much addiction as you seem to be with Hot glue. My only gripe about Hot glue is the little drop that always seems to manage to hit my finger right after the application. You can't just smear it off with your other hand and it cools too fast to run for a paper towel. You just gotta suck it up and take the pain for like 5 seconds until it cools down.

That's an awesome idea. My son has just started to learn the wonders of Lego's. I have not played with them since I was a kid.
Man Legos have come a long way. If you choose to build one (and I would love to see you try) check out the LEGO Digital Designer (http://factory.lego.com/). (It is found in the lego factory). You can build the thing on your computer, send the design to LEGO, and they will now send you a kit with the exact legos you need to build it with a picture of your cabinet on the box. You can now buy the pieces by the piece too. I always lost the 1 x 8 flat ones. (My brother and used them as projectiles)

I got the idea a couple of weeks ago when we spent an hour in the Lego store in Orlando. They have some gigantic Lego structures there. I was trying to find my pics but can't seem to locate them at the moment. I did, however, find this really dorky one:
-
Man the Professor creeps me out.
Cool pic though.

He was a nice guy. I ran into him like 5 times just wandering around the park that day and he remembered my name each time. The park was pretty damn empty while we were there.

hehe. I ruined several shirts and pants with Super Jet back in the day working on rc airplanes. I also had to saw my fingers apart on several occasions. ;D

Had a friend in middle school who used to get high on that glue, then while high he'd glue himself to things and have to figure out how to get off of them or get them off of himself before his parents came home. Got a few frantic phone calls from him with stuff like "dude, I glued my sister's vibrator to my ear, help me".
-
"dude, I glued my sister's vibrator to my ear, help me".
Boy, if I had a nickle for every time I've heard that. Hey Drew, next time call somebody else. ;)

Hot glue is handy for when you lose the battery cover on your remote.

Though if I had reason to, I would.
WTF does that mean?
