Title: Microatx and atx
Post by: SithMaster on October 26, 2006, 03:22:23 pm
my pc case sports a microatx case but could i use an atx mobo as a replacment?

there is room for a bigger board to fit so aside from potential air flow problems would it work.

Your PC case has another case inside it?

It is for smuggling?

most atx cases will fit either a mAtx mobo or an atx one.

If it is an mATX case, it probably won't fit a standard ATX motherboard.

If an atx board will fit, it should work fine.....

Either way, if you have a motherboard and a case, and you have a drill and some screws, you can make it work.

i figured i could drill holes but id rather not.

ill try hecking if i have a atx and see if it works.

the thing is the case has a micro in it but it seems to be a medium case for a atx.  i checked dimensions on tomshardware and it seems like mine is capable of holding a atx.
