Title: MAMEWAH Set-up problem

Sort of embarassing.....I wanted to copy my files and set-up from a machine I built two years ago (that works perfectly), but MAMEWAH locks up at start-up with this message in the LOG.... (any help would be appreciated of where to begin trouble shooting, THANKS)....

Looks more like an unregistered Active X control (ocx). If MameWah comes with an installer I suggest you use it. If you just copied the folder across to your other machine then some components that need to be registered during install are missed. I would (1) Install MameWah using it's installer then (2) Copy the folder from the setup machine over it.

As Headcaze stated, make sure you have installed the MameWAH Sysyem Files which are available for download on the MameWAH website. Also, make sure you have at least DirectX 7 (I think). Just install the latest DX.

It's a DirectX or audio driver problem as I recall (as previously suggested.)  I had this very same problem when I setup my first MAME box.
