I have a few of each of these, and was wondering if anyone ever hacked either of them. The first picture is the Ultraracer, which I actually just connected to my PC with a PSX to USB adapter. It works GREAT in MAME, plus is amazing in Trackmania (the best driving game ever btw). The Namco controller would seem to be an ideal spinner controller. It rotates 360 degrees, and even has a 'friction' to it's movement. If I was at all gifted in the art of hacking (as so many here are) I would probably give it a try.

What drivers are you using with the Ultra Racer? I have seen those here http://www.softwareandstuff.com/acc_ultracer.html for $6 but they say no drivers for XP, which is what I am running...

I cheated. I am using the Playstation models with a PS to USB adapter. It doesn't need any drivers at all when hooked up this way. XP recognizes it and it sets the wheel as an analog controller by default. It works amazingly well. I actually might consider taking a few apart to use the wheel on my upcoming MAME cabinet.

Wow very cool! Ebay here I come! ;-) Anyone else here play with the PC version?

That Ultraracer controller looks excellent. Do you guys know if it will work with a PS2? Or is there is an equivalent for the PS2?

There is not a PS2 version. I haven't tried mine on my PS2 yet. I will and will post my results.

Mine is for a N64
I have 1 N64 to USB adaptor, it also will do PS1 controllers
the N64 version of the above wheel will not work on my adaptor
buttons work but windows don't see the wheel
