Title: arcade vga and jpac
Post by: philby85 on October 17, 2006, 11:23:36 pm
Hi everyone,

I just bought a neo geo cab which is also wired for jamma. the jamma connector from the cab only connects to the larger row of pins on the j pac. there's nothing to connect to the smaller row of pins on the  j pac. When I connect vga to the jpac I get nothing on the screen at all. the sync ok and sync in light up ok. if I connect to a pc monitor via the dvi out I get a pic on the pc monitor but the sync ok light goes out.

Is the jamma connector on the cab not quite right? I have emailed Andy at ultimarc. I just thought one of you guys might know.

cheers

Philby

OK,

that is not a full jamma harness. they used a similar connector to connect in there credit / options board or what ever that thing is that is in the first pic.

A full jamma harness will have a bunch more wires and fill up your connector.

Here is a good link to see what is involved in putting in a full jamma harness.
