I have been trying to work out how to run Viva Nonno from the command line so i can encorparate Rave Racer into my new cab build.
I cant find any clues on the net in general, or on this site, and its not listed in the CPViewer site either. Checking out the 'setting.xml' file in notepad does give some clues, but nothing that ive tried works yet.
Either the emu loads in window form and does nothing, or i get an 'invalid syntax' or a 'cannot find the specified file' error.
Im hoping this emu can be run from the command line. Can anyone help please?

Well, logically, the first thing to do is forget about ANY front end and figure it out at the commandline. Then once you have the proper syntax figure out how to configure the from end to use the syntax required by the emulator.

First line John... "I have been trying to work out how to run Viva Nonno from the command line so i can encorparate Rave Racer into my new cab build."
I know that i need to work out how to run the emulator from the command line. Thats what i have been trying to do. Ive not even tried it in a front end yet.
I only mentioned Mamewah in the title of the post in case someone already has a working ini file. I didnt even mention a front end in the post itself.
Im specifically asking if anyone knows if Viva Nonno is able to run a rom, fullscreen, from the command line. I have found no docs or info to suggest it does.
Im hoping someone already is running it and can help me out?

Well ...... I guess he told me!

And i suspect im not the first one who had to 'tell you' either.
If you aren't going to post something helpful or contructive, don't waste everyone's time.

Go to hell, --missioncontrol--. I was trying to be helpful. I simply didn't read your original post well enough, or pay attention close enough. I wasn't even going to reply by I did because it was a "basic setup 101" reply and I thought if n00bs serached and found it they may find it useful.

Ok, fine - im sorry for going off the handle - i thought you were being deliberately unhelpful. Apologies.

Apologies.
Accepted.

Vivanono doesn't support command line options. On top of that it's frikkin crazy to setup even with simulated keypresses. These games are pretty playable in mame, you might wanna stick to it.
