I also got one before....
and tried it with Mame32 v 61 in Windows...
couldn't get it to work.....

well... it works... but it goes too slow....
I rotate the powermate a full circle and it only goes a little...

have tried to change the setting / sensivity... but not much improvement.... (also updated drivers also...)

so... finally.... returned it... if you can get it to work, plz post details.... thx.... good luck...

I cant get the thing to work at all, It will not even move a little with full spins. I also set the click to press the number 5 to add credits and that does not even register. I works great with word. Press down it types a 5 rotate left right works great, but will not work in mame. I think I just might return it too.

if you're using Mame32, you'll need to go to options... and check that mouse input box in the controller section...

then just use the powermate as a mouse and it should work... (well... it works like you turn and it moves a little...)
but I couldn't get it to move fast enough to play like arknoid...

good luck...

if it still doesn't work, try go to powermate site and download their newer driver... I believe they have a newer driver in their website....

ps: for your info, I was using Windows Me with Mame32 V.61

good luck to you...

if you can get it to a playable state, plz let us know... I'm interested.... cos it does look very cool...

I think the problem with the powermate is it sends emulated keystrokes not analog data making it not very appropriate for use as a spinner...

I had looked at it myself, it's a very cool piece of hardware...
