Title: Solitaire Challenge Cabinet...
Post by: Sinner on October 16, 2006, 12:24:14 am
I just picked up a "Solitaire Challenge" cabinet from someone I know...I'm going to strip everything out and try to stuff a 21" monitor and PC in there...I'm not sure if it's deep enough though...I may have to go with a 17" or spend some money and buy a LCD to fit...
I'm going to have to plug the hole for the trackball and drill new ones for the controls...I think it's just big enough for two players...
I've never done anything with a metal CP before...

Why don't you use the monitor that's already in there?

My mum would buy that off ya as it stands lol

I'd say the screen looks a bit small, so altering the bezel area may be a good idea.
Perhaps allowing a bigger monitor, if that's the idea ?

This looks like one that won't run into marquee design trouble ;)

I think it's too small...then there's the problem of connecting an arcade monitor to a PC.

She has a game of solitaire most evenings on the PC, seems that's all she uses it for except emails.

As for location,
Nah lol, she's in Cheshire, England  :laugh2:

You could build a bumpout for the bigger monitor. It'll allow you to utilize that bigger monitor:

That's kewl...I was thinking of trying something like that with wood or maybe putting the monitor on an angle somewhat (like Pacman or MS Pacman...
I'm anxious to get home and give it a try...

What's the problem?  You hook it up and get the signal right.  Easy.

I have a Solitaire machine same cabinet as that.

Just that it is a Tournament Solitaire.

A good friend gave it to me for free.

It had no monitor in it,

It will accept a computer monitor also.

So i have put a computer monitor in it.

Also just for note all the cabinets for these are DYNAMO's
