Title: Is there a 2 player (2 controls for upright) rom of ms pacman?

Has anyone seen a ms pacman rom that allows for 2 players with 2 different controllers (not cocktail, for a stand up with 2 sets of controls)?

No....

Seeing as how the game is two player alternating, it would have been an incredible waste of time for theprogrammers to release one as well.  Also seeing as how ms pacman requires a 4 way joystick and almost no one has two four ways on an upright, it would be an incredible waste of time for you as well.  :)

One of the things that irritates me about my cabinet is trying to sit there and have a good game against my kids but we have to keep swapping positions to allow for the active player to be on stick 1.

Open your menu and adjust the controls for "this game."  Don't change your general controls.  Then just add the player 2 stick control in as acceptable controls for player 1.  If your kids have a mean streak they can goof you up by playing with stick 2 while you're trying to whoop up on them, but other than that it sure saves a lot of people shuffling.

The NES Ms. Pac-man rom has simultaneous play for 2 players.

Also someone created a hack of Pac Man where one player controls Blinky.

This hack was for the 7800, but in the forum it states that Dave Widel was working on a similar hack for the arcade - but there's no mention of whether that was finished.

I would suggest contacting him (http://www.widel.com/), since the last post in that thread was 2005 and it was implied that work had begun before the first post.

I would think that the work is either complete or abandoned.

In Namco Classic Collection 2 there is a 2 player simultaneous pacman

Forget P2 controlling the ghost .. I want to be able to control the last dot.   (Think Odyssey^2's K.C. Munchkin and the pita chasing the last dot haha)

there is a MOST WANTED PCB/ROM named "Ms.Pacman Twin" where 2 players play at the same time, I think there are 2 pacs on the screen that each player controls.

If you could find this PCB, everyone here (including I) would be very happy :)
