If it lacks a good screenplay, good direction, and good acting it'll suck balls no matter how cool the visuals are. So far it looks like the dialog consists of nothing but battle cries :)

I hope it's good. Frank Miller did the Sin City graphic novels, didn't he? That movie was great.

And yeah, Frank Miller did Sin City, among many other things (Batman Dark Knight series, for example). He's pretty much the Tarentino of the comic book world.

I think they're supposed to, since this is a graphic novel adaptation, but I think they took it too far. It looks like Spy Kids or Sky Captain to me.

I had never heard of it (300) until this weekend, it does look pretty sweet. If it's anything like Sin City then I think they can get away with the cheesy special effects.

I know a guy who was a compositor on the film (done in Apple's Shake); they are creating the whole look of the movie in post production. Looks great; hope it holds up as a movie.

Well, there's your problem...I doubt this movie is supposed to appeal to dudes in skirts. Try switching to a loin-cloth. ;)

LOL! I tried but I couldn't find a loin cloth that didn't ride up.

The movie looks more like some playstation game with soundtrack to match. :angry:

Hopefully I am wrong.
