Title: Happ Ultimate good for little kids?
Post by: Dervacumen on October 11, 2006, 01:26:24 pm
Because the Happ Ultimate has such a long throw, I wonder if it would be easier for very young children (3 or 4 years old) to learn hand eye coordination.

My thinking is that little kids will generally have less fine motor control, and thus be able to use a stick with a longer throw better than a stick with a shorter throw.

Anyone have experience comparing the Happ Ultimate and say, the Happ Super in an application like this?

I'd go with Comps, rather than Ultimates.
The throw is about the same, but the Comps are a little better built.
The biggest difference I've seen is that the Comps don't feel like they are chewing themselves apart while you play.

I second the motion.

Thanks.  That's what I was afraid of.  You see, I bought this Ultimate joystick as part of my first arcade parts purchase before I realized what I had done.

I was hoping to find a reason to use it.

Guess I'll get a Competition instead.
