I have no idea what they are called, but it was 2 colored balls (blue/green/red i think) about the size of golf balls that you could bang together and they would create a loud pop? It had some kind of coating on it. Not sure why I was thinking about those things today... Anyone know what they are called?

Held together by a cord?
I don't think so. I know what he's talking about. Bang balls sounds almost right.
And just a little dirty.

Weren't they called Ker-Bangers?
-
Kerbangers were the balls tied together with string but I don't think they had the "explosive coating" - smells the same as cap guns.

I know just what your looking for!
The make a loud "pop!" like a cap gun, followed by a slight smell of the same orgin. They have these for sale at the local Science Surplus store here, I think they run $1-2 for a set. Let me know if you want any and I can pick em up for you next time I go. Not too sure about mailing em tho, the posties always ask me if my package contains anything flamable or whatever. You could also check their website.
I however am would love a set of them Klacker Ker-Banger things. Many many brusies obtained from them little ---daisies---!
Like to turn the kids on to that 'hobby' sometime. ;)

I think that is it, the blast balls. Haha im not surprised at all that they were recalled. Thanks for the info.
And CykoMF, you are right, the post office would not take too kindly to that im sure. Thanks for the offer but no need to get any for me. Like I said, not sure why I was thinking about them. I think they were in my dreams...

I remember getting multiple bruises from those ker-bangers.

Ha ha! I found a guy on eBay selling them old Klacker things, and not the pansy 80's version with the two stiff plastic things connecting each ball to the handle, but the deadly old fashioned single string models for wild and dangerous wrist brusing fun!
Bought 4 sets from the guy for $15, shipped from the UK. What a deal! ;D
