Hey man, I thinking about the marquee area on my cabinet, and I would love to put a little LCD screen up there to use with Johnny 5. I was reading about how you were working on displaying that to a secondary display while mame is running. Is it worth it to try to locate one? If you answered this before I apologize...

Haha, I love the HC shout out. It's like a PM that got spoken out loud.
But you're right, it is an interesting idea others may want to hear.

Exactly, I know I'm not the only one wanting to do this :) I guess I could of sent a PM. To be honest I didn't even think to do it.

You are not the only one.
I have a PSOne LCD sitting in my basement waiting for this. :)

It depends....
I'm using one myself but you have to understand that the resolution isn't good enough to show a full layout. What I do is I make a custom layout that just shows player 1's controls.
dualie still isn't out though, which manages j5 in dual screen mode. I'm a little distracted by halloween. :)

Oh ok, thanks for the info. Do you really need to have both player controls? Don't most player two controls in arcade games just mirror player one's controls?

Well it comes more in handy for 1 player games that have a lot of controls (like a dual joystick game) but since you can make layouts for individual contorl types, it isn't that much of an issue, it just means you'll be making a lot of layout files. :)

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for answering my questions...
