Title: Sanyo 20 EZ testing info
Post by: tta583 on October 08, 2006, 02:50:11 am
I have a 20 EZ that was working before I pulled it and ran through all the caps.  When fired it up on my bench (using the correct 120-100 v Nintendo step down x-former) all appeared just fine.  Well something when screwy after that.  I mounted it in the cab but it was dead when I tried to use it.  The sound board works fine..the game plays blind with sound.  The fuses check good as does the AC through the diodes.  I do have DC on the other side.  Beyond that I can not find info as to what to test and what voltages I should get.  Does anyone have any suggestions or links?  Oh yes, I am getting DC at TP91 (B+).  It should be around 108 according to the manual but I am at 139-140.  It will not adjust down using the pot at VR601.  No matter what I do it stays the same.

Thanks

Figured it out.  The emitter from the HOT had a bad connection in the wire running from it to the board.

It is documented here:

Hope it helps someone!!!
