Then my dad decided to move over here for money(he owns a store now).
Anyway What part of Montreal are you in?
PS:and the VERY sad question.

SNAAAKE,
Small world!
The arcade at Atwater (Alexis Nihon Plaza) is still there yes and no. It is about 1/2 or so the size that it used to be and has been moved into a small enclosure at the side of the bar that was next door. The other one on St. Catherine street (Amusement Forum) no longer exists.
There is a positive side at Atwater though.
There is a new entertainment complex where the Montreal Forum was (now called the Pepsi Forum). It houses an AMC movie theater, shops and a place called Jillian's. Jillian's has a restaurant, bar, bowling alley and.... a pretty huge arcade. I would say around 50 or more machines. All the machines are very recent and in excellent working order. Just don't expect to be dropping quarters in them. They all use the new cash-card mechanism and are pretty expensive. 20$ can go VERY quickly.
As for Guy-Concordia, news is not positive. There was one on St. Catherine street next to the McDonalds and another inside the Faubourg St. Catherine. Both are now history.
There is still a (very) small one on St. Catherine street very near that location and the small one on the corner of St. Catherine and Crescent is still there. As far as I know, all of the many arcades east of that location no longer exist.
Should you come? Come for the arcades........ but stay for the women. ;)

Where is Australia in your poll?

:(aww man :(
Just as suspected, arcades at montreal were all closing down even while I was there man(locals around my area) :(.
Unfortunate :-\.
Anyway thanks for the info..check your PM..do have some sort of marque you wanted. :)
I am guessing the arcades around "MACGILL" mall/university are all shut down too right? :( .
Not that I live there now but it sucks..MAN ! :(.
Oh yes..do wanna go for the women ;D..I used to be one of those annyoing news paper selling kids(you might have even seen me..haha) that made like $300 week believe it or not.
$300 a week for some 15 year old is little too much if you ask me. :D

Any Florida mamers in here?
-
it's ironic that you posted this poll...
I was going to put together a plugin that dynamically does what the byoac people finder does but uses the "location" profile field...
*Shrug*
rampy (New England -> Connecticut )
MAybe a neat idea would be to have a byoac regional meet and greet at a local dave and buster's for brewskis and gaming action... (And then on to the strip clubs!... er... wait ... quiet down inner voice... quiet down!)

no way! same here.. where abouts? east haven for me..
and where are the other 8 new englander's who voted??
-
Do I have to count CleveLand as midwest? I still think I'm living in New England (I'm from PA and I'm in denial). Midwest to me = Lake Wobegon.
:)
-
Well, you only get 8 choices for the online poll, so southwest got ommitted, I figured New Mexico, Arkansas, and Oklahoma could either put Texas or Midwest... Decisions, decisions..... :) Poor Canada gets lumped in with UK...it's a travesty of justice I tell ya!
JT
-
I'm in Northern California, BTW
-
I'm confused by the choices, is Michigan considered part of the midwest?
-
I think Michigan would have to be midwest, unless you want to be in New England or Texas :) Other than having NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST for choices, it's tough to list the entire planet, other than continents - which would be pretty useless. I can hear it now:
"Hey, I'm in North America, too! Let's do lunch!", or..."I'm in Asia! Let's go to the Tokyo auction and check out DO-RAG's cabinets!"
;D
-
I'm another one from "Down Under".
Cheers
